Triptych of traditional Ukrainian fairy tales Koza Děreza, Telesik, Kolobok

The second project of Divadlo Láska Theatre is a production consisting of three traditional Ukrainian fairy tales. The production is performed in the Ukrainian language and was created for the purpose of a trip to Ukrainian orphanages in the Transcarpathian region. We decided to go to Ukraine because we believe that at a time when the country is in a state of war, culture is more important than ever to keep the spirit of the population brave, and at the same time, not turning away from life itself, and also to give a signal to the enemy that they have not succeeded in breaking their faith and hope.

In the course of one trip we performed 8 shows for 6 orphanages and a refugee camp. The audience was mostly children originally from orphanages in the east, from where they were forcibly moved to the safer west of Ukraine due to the threat of war.

We continue to perform the production in the Czech Republic for Ukrainian children and will soon be heading back across the Slovak border to perform it closer to the places where it is needed the most.

The show is performed in Ukrainian.
